“Return to sender, address unknown”, or so the song goes. But what happens to mail of abstruse, or absent, address or origin? Enter the brave postal clerks of the Dead Letter Office. Thanks to them, every year thousands of displaced letters find their way home. The Dead Letter Office is a blend of Padthaway Shiraz and McLaren Vale Shiraz from the Henry’s Drive vineyards in both regions.

Although this starts off showing loads of
vanilla and bright, boysenberry-like fruit, this is not a simple fruity
concoction; there’s some elegance here, and some savory notes of coffee and
roasted meat, as well. Drink the rich,
full-bodied Shiraz over the next few years.

Deep, dense purple-crimson; a blend of Padthaway/McLaren Vale shiraz; the components come together well, Padthaway providing fragrance and red berry fruits, McLaren Vale black fruits and its seemingly inevitable bitter chocolate. Drink to 2018

Deep crimson – coloured, it displays aromas of cedar, smoked meat, game, plum, and blueberry. On the palate it has layered flavours, plenty of spice and earth notes, good grip and a smooth finish. Drink 5-6 years.
