The signature wine of Henry’s Drive Vignerons, the Reserve Shiraz, represents
our approach to winemaking. Our fruit is carefully graded, with only the very best parcels selected from our premium vineyard site and, with minimal intervention, the result is a wine with great length and longevity; a true expression of the vineyard, region and variety.
Our Reserve Shiraz was the favourite wine
of my late husband, Mark Longbottom.
With this wine, I pay tribute to his strength, determination and character.
Kim Longbottom
“Big,
bold and structured, this is a dry yet mouthwatering beast of a Shiraz, its
blackberry, mocha and black olive notes held in check by firm tannins. Give it 3-4 years in the cellar, then drink
it over the next several years.”
Joe Czerwinski February 2012
Nice herbal/eucalpt lift to the fruit nose. Lots of choclaty oak on the plummy palate and lingering tannins.

2007 Henry's Drive Reserve Shiraz
92 Points
Is more expressive aromatically with aromas of incense, Asian spices, bacon and blueberry. Rich on the palate, it is already displaying some complexity, good depth of flavour and a pure finish. Give it 2-3 years and drink it from 2012-2022.
2005 Henry's Drive Reserve Shiraz

2005 Henry's Drive Reserve Shiraz

Bright and open-textured, with pretty raspberry and currant flavors at the core, lingering nicely against finely polished tannins. Has depth and focus, with a coffee note adding interest as the finish rolls on elegantly. Drink now through 2015.
2005 Henry's Drive Reserve Shiraz
Complex, intense red berry bouquet complemented by classy spicy oak. Beautifully balanced, deep, rich, sweet palate with lip-smacking flavours that linger long after the wine has gone. $55
2005 Henry's Drive Reserve Shiraz
93 Points
The 2005 Shiraz Reserve was sourced entirely from estate fruit and was aged in 85% new oak. The wine is a glass-coating purple/black with an alluring perfume of toast, bacon, smoked meat, blueberry, and licorice. Deeper and richer than the “regular” Shiraz, it also has enough structure to merit 4-6 years of cellaring. The wine’s finish is long and pure. Henry’s Drive is owned by Kim and Mark Longbottom with Kim Jackson as winemaker. This task was previously handled by Sparky and Sarah Marquis but in this, the second vintage after their departure, Henry’s Drive has not missed a beat. Importer: The winery just changed importers, no other information known. -JM
2004 Henry's Drive Reserve Shiraz
90 Points
Smooth, supple and generous with its red cherry, raspberry and red bell pepper flavors. An aromatic red that keeps singing through the juicy, slightly hot finish. Drink now through 2012.
2004 Henry's Drive Reserve Shiraz
93 Points
“From a cooler climate sector of Padthaway, the 2004 Shiraz Reserve is an elegant, soft, complex effort revealing Southern Rhone-like aromas of garrigue, ground pepper, and spice box interwoven with blackberries, cassis, sweet cherries, and herbal undertones. This wild, rich, heady Shiraz tips the scales at 16% alcohol. Drink this provocative, undeniably pleasurable 2004 over the next 7-8 years.”
