2010 Morse Code Shiraz

In this digital world, we remember the craft of the postal telegraphists. For decades their Morse signals, dexterously delivered across Australia's great telegraph line, connected us with the world and helped to save countless lives. We honour the Morse Codian Fraternity with this collection of fine wines.

Strong crimson-purple; my, my, the colour does not send the wrong signal; this has really attractive juicy red berry/cherry fruit flavours and a supple texture; tailor-made for consumption anywhere, any time over the next year. Outstanding bargain. Drink 2012

Shiraz sees no new wood and just a little seasoned oak. Deep garnet-purple in
color, it is intensely scented of warm blackberry, blueberry, eucalyptus and a
touch of forest floor. High acid and plenty of juicy berry fruit with a low
level of soft tannins are all in harmony on the palate leading to a long dark
berry finish. Drink it now to 2014.

‘Best Buys $15 and Under’
Henry’s Drive is a fairly recent entry into the Limestone Coast region. The wines have names linked to the postal service such as Dead Letter Office, Pillar Box Red and Morse Code. It’s difficult to believe a small winery can get a bottle of nicely packaged wine out for a retail price of $10! Its deep in chocolately, plumy flavour while the texture us supple and has a chewy density- its an amazing bargain ! Best within five years.
